CEPT/ERC Recommendation 70-03 relating to the use of short range devices (SRD)
This recommendation sets the CEPT position on common frequencies that can be designated for short Range Devices (SRD) applications and is a reference document to assist in preparing the national spectrum Regulations. In using this recommendation, it should be remembered that it is the most widely used accepted position within the CEPT, but should not assume all of the entries in this recommendation are available for SRD in all countries. Deviations between this recommendation and the national frequency usage Limitations are given in the appendices. Many administrations have designated additional frequencies for SRD applications on a national basis. It is therefore advisable to check the frequency regulations in the EFIS for the relevant CEPT administration (s) and / or by.
This Recommendation is also electronically available in the EFIS database: https://efis.cept.org
Communications Regulators’ Association of Southern Africa (CRASA) Harmonised Frequency Bands For SRD Applications
It is recognized that currently the use of some radio Frequency bands in SADC countries differ due to legacies, among other things for system deployments, different timescales for the introduction of new technologies, different services and technology requirements as well as different bandwidths Requirement. It is therefore not possible to direct the use of the radio frequency Spectrum over all frequency bands between all countries, however, it is obvious that a de Actual harmonization already exists in many frequency bands.
NOTE: This is not a license free band. If you connect to a commercial telecoms operator you are however allowed to use thier frequencies. Please check the rules and obtain a license before running a IOT-System with short range.
